What is Qigong and what's in it for me ?

Qigong is an ancient system from China with many branches, schools and methods. Practiced primarily for health, longevity and a peaceful life it enjoys a well deserved reputation for improving health.
Qigong is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is also included in the training of Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Millions of people practice this in one form or another. Tai Chi, practiced by millions, is a form of Qigong.

Qigong offer unrivalled health benefits and has undergone scientific research proving it effective in the treatment of serious ailments and illnesses.

Qigong starts with Taoist bodywork and meditation.
The Bodywork is progressive as the person gets fitter and more flexible. However it should be noted that even the very basic practices are extremely beneficial.
Taoist Bodywork opens up joints, thus improving strength, balance, agility and range of movement. Soft tissue is toned and refreshed. Improved metabolic functions, nervous system and organ function are a result of practice.
Meditation brings calm, mental vitality and clarity.
